The reading of the film Lavoura Arcaica, by Luís Fernando Carvalho (from Raduan Nassar’s book) attempts to make positive the critique itself as undertaken in the most recurrent problems involved in transposing literature to the cinema. Thus, the text works with the ideas of translation and misreading, to capture the filmic and literary strategies which are actualized in the images, elaborating on a thought which also incorporates the reflection on the modern and contemporary cinema in Brazil, its esthetic and political instances. |
