In this essay the author tries to analyse the impact of new newest telematic tools in the Portuguese journalism. First of all, recurring to the analysis of the results of an inquiry made to journalists of several media in the context of a master’s dissertation about electronic journalism. Secondly, through an empirical approach of the work produced in a daily newspaper on the online and cyberjournalistic dimensions. As a conclusion, it can be said that, in spite of being recent, the new medium of global communication is not residual in the media desks, although the usage of online resources is still too restrict and cyberjournalism is yet to attain a relevant expression.
