This new research group «Media and Mediation Processes» results from the combination of two previous research groups, «Mediation Systems: Technologies, Practices and Discourses and «New Forms of Mediation». The fundamental objective is to create a field of research dedicated to Mass Media and to New Media, in order to apprehend the interaction of modern mediation processes in their complexity.

This research group was created to substitute the previous group «Mapping of the Mutations of Culture in the age of Technique». The group is developing individual and collective projects and will be responsible for the organization of conferences, publications and congresses.
